From Banking to Real Estate : when passion calls
Kim, a Florida native, relocated to Columbus. She fell in love with Fort Moore and Phenix City in 1996 and decided to make it her home. Her love for Columbus and the surrounding counties plays an essential role in the services she provides to her customers, aiming to find them a home as she found hers. Before becoming a successful realtor, Kim worked in the management department of a bank. However, she was drawn to another sector: the real estate market. Kim decided to follow her passion and became a realtor, utilizing the knowledge and skills she acquired during her banking career. As she explains it herself :
“I started as a relocation director with Prudential Real Estate, which was somewhat similar to my role in banking prior to that. A broker with Prudential recruited me out of banking into real estate, and I began my journey as a relocation director. Soon after, I realized I wanted to delve deeper into the real estate industry. So, after about a year and a half, I decided to leave and joined a small boutique real estate company as an independent contractor agent. It’s surprising how much a banking background helps in real estate.” – Kim Mixon
